Integrated Approaches for Management of Phytophthora Blight in Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.)

The present investigation was conducted in the experimental field of Banda University Agriculture and Technology, Banda, Uttar Pradesh, India during July to October 2021. Phytophthora blight caused by parasitica var. sesame is prevalent all grown areas country. It may occur at any stage crop can cause up 80% yield loss. combination biological control agents viz. Trichoderma harzianum (Th) & Pseudomonas fluorescens (Pf), application farm yard manure, spent mushroom substrate (SMS) oyster fungicide (Metalaxyl 8%+Mancozeb 64% WP) were assessed against terms incubation period, disease incidence, severity under natural epiphytotic conditions kharif Among treatments assessed, soil SMS+Th prior sowing showed highest enhancement period (35.63%) (44.55%) over control. However, it par with respect treatment amended SMS (Th+Pf) before sowing. Maximum reduction incidence (20.04%) (51.41%) recorded viz., amendment SMS+ SMS+Th, respectively. results revealed that applied as prophylactic treatment, significantly reduced increased unprotected crop.
